Danva DJ Johnson is the son of James Super Chikan Johnson and was recently featured in Living Blues #287 November/December 2023.

DJ Johnson is from Clarksdale Mississippi but calls Milwaukee Wisconsin his home. He spreads his faith wherever he goes. Some might have seen him playing his keyboard outside of Walgreens in Milwaukee. Some might have heard him preach on a Sunday morning or be in rare form at Orson’s Saloon in Cudahy Wisconsin. He recently performed with the Riverside Revival at the Best Dam Blues Festival in Thiensville Wisconsin on 9.17.23 with the Mighty Ms. Erica and Al Dorn.

Being mostly visually impaired, he relies on his friends to help him with daily activities. DJ recently asked this friend if he could go Live at the Grafton House of Blues on January 27 and February 17. DJ has performed on “Miss Angie’s Porch” for several summers thanks to his friend and advocate Justin Thomas Brown and musician friends.
